At 6 weeks old, Ola and his 3 other littermate and sire Bandit, where brought over to our home by their breeder for us to meet them.

Of course, ALL puppies are cute, but the question was who would fit into our home the best.  We narrowed it down to 2 of the boys.

Ola exhibited a bit of independence by exploring a little on his own, yet enjoyed being cuddled and had medium energy level with a sense of calmness.  His brother was a bit more active and I did think his sable coloring was striking.

My husband wasn’t being choosy and thought any of them would be good.

So I used my pendulum which I use for Healing Touch Energy work.  Initially, tested all 4 pups and all were good.  Well, that was no help in narrowing down a pup for our new fur kid.

So my friend, Mary who is also an energy worker, said try pairing them up with Paul.  The other boy we were considering, showed that the match would be fine.
But, when paired with Ola, the pendulum was flying and an overwhelming—this is your boy!!!

We immediately put a down payment on our boy and named him on the spot.

Interestingly enough, about 2 months prior to our Mickey boy’s unexpected passing, Paul had started calling him “Mickey-Ola”.   I had asked what does that mean?  Ola has many meanings in Hawaiian, but some of them are a spring, well-being, life and savior.

Ola was to fill our home again with the love only a fur kid can bring and yes, in many was became our savior.

We would need to wait 2 more weeks until they would be released to their new homes.
At 8 weeks old, that date would be July 3.
This would have been Mickey’s 5th birthday.
We think Ola was Mickey’s birthday present to us.
